ALEX.doc
ALEX stands for Alabama Learning Exchange. This program offers several different things. This website includes several different areas of study. It includes English/language arts, math, arts education, career/technical education, driver and traffic safety education, health education, science, social studies, foreign languages, physical education, and technology education. ALEX also has counseling and guidance.
ALEX offers a way to create your very own lesson plans. You can also click on a link on the website and find an ALEX lesson plan by author, title, or school. You can find a lesson by subject and by grade. ALEX offers web links for teachers, administration, and the students. ALEX is a great resource available for the students and the teachers.
When I start teaching, ALEX will be a great help to me. It will teach me how to create lesson plans or I could go on ALEX and print out a lesson plan that is already developed. I will search for different topics to present to the class. I could use ALEX from home or from school. All of the resources will always be available.
I could also look up a course of study for whatever grade I teach. The course of study provides information on the different subjects for each grade level. I will use ALEX to get info for online projects. ALEX has a personal workspace for teachers which allows them to store and share their lesson plans and useful web pages. I think that ALEX will be a great help to me when I become a teacher.
