ACCESS.doc
ACCESS stands for Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators, and Students Statewide. It provides opportunities and options for Alabama public high schools. Students can engage in advanced placement, elective, and other courses to which they may not have access to. ACCESS offers the following courses: English, social studies, different electives, math, science, foreign languages, health education, and reading comprehension.
If I work at a school that does not have many resources, I will use ACCESS. It gives students an opportunity to get the courses, teachers, and technology that will provide them with the knowledge and skills they need to graduate from high school, prepare to go to college, and/or the workforce.
I can merge my teaching with technology and share my information with other schools using this program. I will be able to monitor student progress and record grades. I will maintain communication with the distant learning staff. This could include teachers and counselors. What I like most of all is that all courses are taught at school during the regular school day. ACCESS is a FREE program to public high school students in Alabama.
